Thumbwheel Switch
Can you explain how to hook up a thumbwheel switch on a lamp cord?
For turning the lamp on and off.
It looks like this.

, You have to break (cut one conductor about a quarter inch long to make or break the circuit, then tighten the screw. It has prongs that will pierce the wires. But they come in different gages (wire thickness) If possible, take the lamp with you to the hardware store.
