Car amplifier troubleshooting, Narrowed down, Please help.?
Hey I was having some difficulty with my girlfriends amplifier. Its about 7 years old. Still clean and everything though, solder board and peices look good. the problem is is that the amplifier cuts out. Only at mid volume and higher. If its quiet itll stay on. It is the amplifier, Ive narrowed it down to be a faulty piece in the power supply stage Im guessing? It doesnt have any lights, its old. haha no protection or overheating, its cool and properly wired. If it was the output stage it wouldnt even be working, Whats your take?

I’m suspecting it is in the output stage and that is what I would replace. It may work up to a certain input level then break down. Check all capacitors and resistors connected with the output stage.
